但我又一直覺得這句話似乎也可以翻成

"Lucas和其他人都無法感受到和第一集上映前一樣的活力" (意思是第一集上映前也許就受人矚目,但第7集反而不是這麼一回事)

也就是說,其實我是已經知道答案了,才猜出意思,我不確定純粹是前後文的關係,或是文法或字的用法上有什麼地方沒掌握到

如果可以那我的疑問是,以前我一直認為子句的主詞和主句一樣才能拿掉連接詞,然後把動詞改成動名詞(render =>rendering),可是如果像這句這樣 "render"的主詞因該不是前面的"I",那為何能寫成"rendering all of them xxxx"??

我做了一張維修表,列出印表機正在列印中,如果墨水用光所會發生的一些情況,
其中有一條是"如果xxx印表機正在列印,那列印工作將會被暫停",我的困難是那個暫停我到底要用主動會被動??

今天看到這句話
"If we exercise too long in the heat, our bodies can  overheat."

這句話語意上沒什麼問題,只是仔細想想後,我發現如果是我自己寫,我的習慣都會寫成未來式

"If we exercise too long in the heat, our bodies will  overheat."


這兩種寫法都可以嗎?是否有什麼差異?
如果不需要用未來式,那可以寫成這樣嗎?

我很直覺得用中文式思考,講出了

"Last time we were here, we meet the independence day"

雖然對方聽得懂我在講什麼,但總覺得怪怪的

1.用"were"能否表現出"一段時間"的涵意?因為上次來也不是只來一下,而是可能1星期或一個月

2."meet"我上網查了,很像沒人把他拿來遇到xxx節日

巴士會停那?

前幾天和菲律賓同事討論觀光行程,我原先想問的問題是

"我們從Lipa City這邊出發搭的巴士到Manila後會停在Manila的什麼地方?"

這句話我卡了很久,一直講不太出來

偏偏我們抵達馬尼拉停的車站和從馬尼拉離開回Lipa city的車站是不一樣的,有點像台北有多個轉運站一樣.所以直接講"where is the bus station in Manila." 也讓人無法立即搞懂我到底在問哪個車站.

雖然比手畫腳外加畫圖,他終究搞懂我要問的東西,不過回家後我還是重新想了一下要怎麼問.

1. "Which location the bus from Lipa that we will take will stop at?"
2."Where is the bus station that the Bus from Lipa we take in Manila?"

但這兩句話自己怎麼看怎麼怪....@@
有人有其他建議嗎?

根據友人的指導,這個"it"因該是指"Her goal of flying around the globe at the equator". 不過我還是有點疑問,因為我覺得"intrigued"在這邊是動詞,而"it"在這邊為何不是動詞的受詞,
例如 "Fairy - tales intrigue most children . 大多數孩子都十分喜愛神話故事"
